Jessica Kinnison is a philanthropist, social justice advocate, and educator based in New Orleans. A Mississippi native and co-founder of the New Orleans Writers Workshop, her work explores the tension between place and identity. Her writing has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in the The Historic New Orleans Collection, Columbia Journal and The Southern Humanities Review, among other publications. Recognized by Poets & Writers as a "poet to watch," Jessica bridges the gap between creative expression and systemic advocacy to build more equitable futures.
